Manu Waiata:
41° 10'47.15" S
173° 58'22.31" E

HOW DO I GET THERE?
By road:

From Blenheim (121 km): 2½ hours
From Nelson (155 km): 3 hours
From Picton (89 km) : 2¼ hours

These are approximate times; no allowance for travel breaks are included.
The road from Linkwater is sealed until past Taradale. From there to St Omer (14 kms) is mostly unsealed with occasional patches sealed along the way. The road from Picton or Havelock is fairly winding and can be quite narrow in places. Care needs to be taken. The views of the Sounds are great and if you are not in too much of a rush, it is an excellent way to see more and take those special snapshots of the Sounds. The important thing is, allow yourself plenty of time.

There are other options:
You have the option of splitting your travel between road and water.
1. You can drive as far as Havelock, then take a water taxi to St Omer.
2. You can drive as far as Te Mahia and take a water taxi across to St Omer.

BY BOAT:
Havelock Marina to St Omer (Fast boat/water taxi): 40 mins
(your own launch): 1¼ hours
Te Mahia to St Omer (Water taxi): 10 mins
